“LOCAL”- #FriFotos

I’ve long been a fan of the #FriFotos feature on Twitter started by Jonathan Epstein (@EpsteinTravels). Unfortunately, due to a hectic work schedule, I am very rarely able to prepare a post for this event.

I finally sat down and made it a priority to participate. It just so happens that this week’s theme is “Local”. It’s ironic that I already posted an article Monday this week called Ode to Detroit, My Hometown, in which I used some of my best “local” photos. I do have some others, and here are the best of them.

Greenfield Village
The Tempatation’s costumes, Motown Museum, Detroit

Comerica Park, Detroit

St. Charles Borromeo, Indian Village, Detroit

Detroit at sunset

Ford Field, Detroit- NCAA Final Four

Greektown, Detroit

Renaissance Towers

The Gateway to Freedom- Statue Celebrating Detroit’s role in The Underground Railroad- Hart Plaza

Mariner’s Church- Downtown Detroit
Detroit is Hockeytown

  1. These are wonderful – I love when people can focus on local sights.  Travel photos are wonderful, but I love seeing them from places that are less 'covered' at home, like Detroit.
