I’ve certainly had a lot of photos to share from the short period of time I was in Amsterdam in May of 2013. It’s one of my all-time favorite cities, and even after I got done separating photos for the other photo essays, I was left with these I felt like sharing.

Damrak- Main Tourist Drag

Schreierstoren- ‘Wailing Tower’

Reflection in the canals

World Famous Madame Tussaud (I’ve still never been)

The Royal Palace & New Church

Westerkerk Clock Tower

Anne Frank House (Look at that line!)

Famous sign at 2 A.M. (Minus the crowds)

Zuiderkerk

The Dutch love their dogs

The way to get around the city

Beurs van Berlage

A city known for diamonds…

…and flowers,

… and cheese.

Leidestraat

The city symbol

The famous sign with the constant crowds

The newly redone Van Gogh Museum

Cafe Culture in Leidesplein

No matter how many images I see of a European city, particularly one I’ve visited a number of times, I don’t get tired of looking at them, especially if there’s something new, or if someone’s seen things from a different perspective. With that, I wanna go back to Europe, and sure, why not Amsterdam, too? Thanks for your essay, Erik!
