The Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a couple hours drive north of Iceland’s capital of Reykjavik. It’s proximity to the capital makes it a great way to see all the best of what Iceland has to offer in a day trip from the capital. To be done properly, from Reykjavik, it would require a long day trip, but it is worth it, and it could easily be broken into a trip of a couple days.
I was lucky to have a clear and cool day for my excursion.
